China

This past December My husband and I traveled to China. It was an amazing experience, but to tell you the truth it was way to cold to walk around. We visited Beijing and Lijiang. Lijiang was established eight hundred years ago and retained all it’s characteristic and life style since then. That also means that there was no heat in the traditional accommodations! The first night there I thought there was no way I was going to survive the cold. I thought about getting up in there morning and taking shower in a room that was below freezing, no heater, and there were 2″ gaps in the exterior walls to let the fresh air in! All the shops and restaurant were in open space. Nonetheless, it was a great experience and we both were truly appreciative for the opportunely that was provided.

After eating, I noticed something odd poking out my soup! I decided, at my own perril, to be adventurous and picked it up only to realize that it was a chicken head! It was then and there that I decided to become vegetarian!

Thank you so much for your compliment. That link should really help. It’s been a long time that I’d like to stop eating any kind of meat but to be honest with you I don’t know anyone who is one to ask for their advice. So, thank you for sending me that link:)

My pleasure! I don’t know what its like where you are but here in the UK its now much easier to avoid meat. There are plenty of good veg options in supermarkets (the same supermarkets incidentally that still sell large crates of eggs very clearly labelled ‘from caged hens’. I am amazed how many people pick them up and put them in the trolley!)
Trust me on this, if its something you having been thinking about for a while you will feel great once you do it! Best of luck!! πŸ™‚

spectacular captures! and a word about your last pic- though it was a disturbing pic, i’m happy about what it led to- change your mind & heart in the process! trust me, going vegetarian is the best thing that you could do your own well being (mental & physical), for the countless & helpless animals out there, and for our very planet! Good luck dear friend! πŸ™‚
